Baylor Scott & White Health opens new Clinic and Wellness Center in College Station

Baylor Scott & White Health has announced the opening of its new clinic and wellness center in College Station, Texas. The facility offers a range of healthcare services, including preventative health, general medicine, pediatrics, and women’s health, as well as a fully functioning lab and radiological services. The wellness center focuses on two educational programs, namely obesity education and movement disorders. The former provides patients with nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle change education, while the latter focuses on providing Parkinson’s and post-stroke patients with key educational information about medication and exercise.

Jason Jennings, president of Baylor Scott & White – College Station Region, said, “Our goal was to make these important services and educational programs as convenient as possible.” The clinic and wellness center aim to provide patients of all ages with the education they need to make a true lifestyle change and stay healthy.

The wellness center is named after Robert Conte, MD, who raised cattle in the Brazos Valley and served on the board of directors for Baylor Scott & White in College Station. After his own Parkinson’s diagnosis, Dr. Conte and Cindy, his wife, created a not-for-profit to serve those in the community battling Parkinson’s disease.
