CertainTeed, the North American leading brand of exterior and interior building products, and a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, has announced its plan to construct a new state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution facility in Bryan, Texas. The facility, which will cover 160,000 square feet, is set to cost nearly $145 million and will create 130 full-time jobs once operational.
The company has received incentives to construct the new facility, including ten years of property tax savings, a gift of 211 acres, infrastructure improvements worth $3 million, and a free easement for an adjacent rail line. Construction work is expected to commence later this year and is expected to take around seven years to complete.
CertainTeed has been manufacturing building products since 1904, and over the years, it has expanded its product range to include roofing, siding, fence, decking, railing, trim, insulation, gypsum, and ceilings. With over 60 manufacturing facilities across North America, this new facility in Bryan, TX, will significantly boost CertainTeed’s capacity to manufacture high-quality building products and enhance its distribution capabilities.
