Houston-based Midway, a privately owned, fully integrated real estate investment and development firm, is pleased to announce that Lick Honest Ice Creams will delight visitors with its newest location at 143 Century Square, Suit 105 in Century Square, the 60-acre mixed-use destination adjacent to Texas A&M University. Slated to open this fall 2021, the Texas-based scoop shop will occupy a 1,221 square foot space adjacent to Sweet Paris and behind Blaze Pizza.
Hailing from Austin, Lick Honest Ice Creams was brought to life by Co-Founders, Anthony Sobotik and Chad Palmatier’s desire to offer “honest ice creams” to savvy palates. To do so, Lick crafts artisanal ice creams with peak-season ingredients sourced responsibly from local farmers and food artisans that are soy-free, palm oil-free, preservative-free, and just plain and simple delicious. Everything from the sauces, syrups, cookies, cakes, and marshmallows are also made by hand in Lick’s kitchen – all in an effort to serve up the freshest, cleanest, most honest ice creams possible. In tandem with its commitment to sustainability, Lick only uses compostable cups, spoons, and napkins in its shops.
“We couldn’t be more excited to be bringing our ice creams to College Station,” shares Lick Co-Founder, Anthony Sobotik. “As a native Texan, my dream has always been to share ice creams made with outstanding ingredients grown and produced in our great state with fellow ice cream lovers. Guests who visit the College Station location, within the dynamic and walkable community center, can take advantage of the walk-in storefront or online ordering for curbside service. Lick’s scoop shop will emulate the second generation of design seen in its newest San Antonio locations. Upon visiting, customers will be greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere in a refined, modern environment. A walk-up express window will be added to make it even easier for guests to get their scoops to enjoy on the wonderful adjacent green space.
Ice cream aficionados will enjoy Lick’s unconventional lineup of 16 artisanal flavors, free of artificial colors, preservatives, or high-fructose corn syrup. Everyday favorites like Goat Cheese, Thyme and Honey; Dark Chocolate, Olive Oil and Sea Salt; Roasted Beets and Fresh Mint; and Texas Sheet Cake will be available along with rotating seasonal flavors. Add the ice cream flavor of your choice onto a hand-rolled cone made from Lick’s homemade recipe and top it off with toasted Texas pecans, rainbow sprinkles, or homemade chocolate cookie crumbles. Finish off the whole treat with a drizzle of chocolate, caramel or one of the rotating seasonal sauces for a mouth-watering treat that can’t be beaten. Not in the mood for an ice cream cone?
